Chelsea suggested a post about vehicle maintenance….and she’s cool. So let’s do it!
Oil: Most manufacturers recommend oil changes now at 3,750 miles or 7,500 miles, depending on how much you drive. I’ll tell you what I tell all my customers. When I first got my 2011 Hyundai Sonata, I was used to doing an oil change every 3,000 miles. It helped my Grand Prix I bet. With my new car, I have been doing: 3,000 for the first to check wear and tear, and just initial check over. Now I do every 4,000 miles. So: 3,000 / 7,000 / 11,000 / 15,000 / 19,000 / 23,000 / 27,000 / 31,000 / 35,000 / 39,000 / 43,000 / 47,000 / 51,000
Edmunds has a great website designed for vehicle maintenance:

Tires: MOST new car tires I’ve seen are lasting 25,000 – 35,000 miles. Your second set of tires most people will want 50,000 mile tires and those are going to take care of you for awhile obviously and give you that piece of mind. There are all sorts of tire brands and ratings. TireRack has a great break down of tire ratings, brands, speeds, etc:

Child Locks: People don’t ever talk about them, but if you have them on your back doors, you may want to adjust them a couple times in a year. If they don’t get used they can rust and stick. If you have kids, sometimes they’re not useable if you need them.
